5Awesome Scooter-Very well Built !!!
By Pino
This scooter was impossible to find at any of the local stores. Thanks to Amazon for having them in stock. I ordered on the 23rd and received on the 27th due to me ordering them 1hr. past the deadline for a Friday (Dec. 23rd) delivery. Anyway, Upon receipt of the scooters (2 purchased), unboxing revealed that both tail lights were broken in shipping. From looking at how they were packaged, you can see why. The scooters themselves were actually heavy and sturdy. This IS NOT A TOY scooter. This thing feels sturdier than some cars I've seen. Assembly took 1 hr. for both scooter and was very simple. I can't stress enough how well built and designed these things are. The kick stand is literally a 1/4" piece of steel attached with a very sturdy spring and has no issues holding the scooter in place with authority. The wheels and tires came pre-inflated and are of high quality rubber. The On/Off switch is a toggle switch and is placed on the lower section of the steering column above the Charging port. The charging port has a little swing away door that moves out of the way when you plug in the charger. Upon connecting the battery and turning the scooter on, there is a battery charge indicator on the right handle bar that shows how much juice remains in the battery...nice feature. After putting everything together, the charge indicator said full, so the kids each received a 15 second ride down the street and back and so did I. I weight approx 190lbs and it never checked up (stalled or hesitated) even from a dead stop. It was quite impressive how this thing handles and how fast it moves. Needless to say, after the small test drive they both went on the charger and there they sit till tonight. I must advise that if your child is going to ride this, a helmet is a MUST... IT IS FAST enough to cause some pretty bad injuries if you fall off at top speed.

I will be buying two eZip 1000's for my wife and I to ride with the kids as well. GREAT PRODUCT !!!!

Only thing left is to get the two tail lights replaced.

AWESOME PRODUCT, WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE WITH KIDS.

4First impressions
By J
Box came a little roughed up. Scooter was packaged well, but on further inspection it appears there are slight dents on the sides of the scooter under the battery cover. However, when the cover is put back it is unnoticeable so no big deal. I didn't charge the scooter for the initial 6 to 8 hours because I was too excited haha. It runs very well! I weigh about 155 pounds and it tackles hills no problem. It will probably run even better on a full charge! I am 5'10" and the handlebars are too short to ride comfortably standing up. Sitting down is fine. It starts from a dead stop.

One trouble I encountered putting it together was that the battery connector was in the way so you couldn't close the battery cover. You have to put the connector underneath the battery so that it fits in the grooves on the bottom and lay the battery on top. (You'll understand when you see it)

Will update review if anything drastically changes.

Pros:
Powerful - fast even on hills
Doesn't need a kick off to get it going
Looks nice
Seems durable
Best bang for your buck ($199 for 450 watts, compared against the Razor 300 watt scooter for $195).
Pretty compact for the power (The ezip e500 is only a little bit more powerful and takes up more space and is $45 more).

Cons:
Small dents (covered by battery cover)
Short handlebars (if you're taller than 5'6" you'll probably have to use the seat)
If it dies, you'll be pushing it since you can't really use it as a regular kick scooter

So far I am very satisfied. Hopefully this scooter will last a long time!

4A lot of fun, even for adults
By S. Somerville
I've had mine for a few weeks and have found it to be a lot of fun to ride. I'm 5'10" and weight 185 pounds and this scooter holds me fine. I use the seat which makes it much easier to ride. My scooter came with no dents or packaging problems as some others have complained about. It's about 90% assembled. Just install the seat post first, then the folding stem post, and lastly the handlebars. One tip is to make sure the hinge on the folding stem post faces the seat and that the quick release locking lever faces foward. The battery seems to hold it's charge even though it's stored in my rather cold garage. Since it has no shock absorbers or seat springs, it operates best on smooth asphalt streets. I like it!
